October Happenings

So October hasn't been super exciting for Tyson and I, but it has been for these people:
My little brother got his mission call to Santa Ana El Salvador/Beliz and will be leaving in January. We are super excited for him! He will be an awesome missionary!

These two got engaged and are getting married December 30th! We are also super excited for them and hope that they come out to our area for med school next summer! So for all you people back in Idaho who I miss oh so much, I will be seeing you in December!
So I guess October has been kind of exciting for us. My cousin Kara and her cute little family stopped by for a few days on thier way to Nauvoo. We went to the zoo and visited some church history sites while she was here. It was so nice to see her, she is one of my favs :). Aren't her little  boys the cutest you have ever seen? I held Jayden pretty much the whole time they were here because he is so cute and cuddly.

For some reason Kara and I didn't take a picture together, sad day! I can't wait to see them all again!
We also decided to finally accept that fall is here and almost Halloween so we carved some pumpkins (by we I mean my sis-in-law Angela and I. The other people just stood around and critized us). We also baked the pumpkin seeds, delicious! Since neither of us wanted to take them home, they welcome all those who come to our in-laws house.

I was trying to mimic my pumpkin but really it just looks like I am trying to eat it

On Tuesday we finally get to find out what we are having!!!!!! I can't wait! This week is seriously going by so stinking slow! We do have to talk in church on Sunday so maybe my dread for that day will speed up the wait till Tuesday. I'm pretty sure that last time I talked in church was 2008, possibly even 2007 and before that it was when I turned 12. Yeah I'm pretty good at staying under the radar, but Tyson not so much so I blame this on him :).
Also I finally found a job, possibly 2. They are both part-time so working both would add up to full-time. I honestly never thought I would be a pediatric nurse so maybe that's why it took me so long to find a nursing job that I actually liked.
So life is just wonderful right now. I can't wait till Tuesday! I will post pictures of the baby bump then. What do you guys think, boy or girl? Have a fabulous day!

  3. Whoot Whoot for your brother! My brother got called to the Atlanta Georgia mission. Yep, right above my old mish. He also leaves in Jan. Too bad your sister isn't getting married earlier in the month -- I have a friend getting married in IF on Dec 10th, and a cousin getting married in IF the week of Thanksgiving. I told my mom "yeah, basically all the cool people no longer live in the Rexburg area, so even though I will be up there twice, there's no one there to visit." If I happen to know someone getting married out your way, maybe I'll come say hello. Until then, keep up the good work of pumpkins that look like they just jumped in a cold shower because their water heater was broken for a whole semester.
